Kane Densley joined the British Skeleton programme in 2019 via the Discover Your Gold talent identification scheme in conjunction with UK Sport and the English Institute of Sport (now the UK Sports Institute).

He made his GB debut in November 2022, finishing 11th in Europa Cup competition in Lillehammer, and had gone on to register 15 international appearances by the end of the 2023/24 sliding season.

Kane's best result to date is a fifth-place finish in Bludenz in December 2023, while he also registered two other top-ten spots last season (both in Igls in February 2024).

Kane previously played for Leicester Tigers at rugby union at Under 16 and 17 level before focussing on athletics prior to his switch to skeleton.

He competed in the British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) indoor and outdoor championships, medalling twice in the indoor 4x200m relay, and also competed in the 60m at the British Indoor Championships.

Kane has an undergraduate degree in Sport and Physical Education from Cardiff Metropolitan University and has also studied for a PGCE at the University of Warwick with a view to becoming a secondary school teacher.
