Olympic ticket ballot now open

Olympic ticket ballot now open

The process for booking your spot to watch the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympic Winter Games live in Italy has now officially begun.

Tickets for the winter sports showpiece will go on early access sale in February 2025 but the process of registering interest is now open.

Fans can register on the ticket portal for a ballot that will give them the chance to be among the first to purchase tickets. Registering is free and allows users to book their turn to secure Olympic tickets without any obligation to buy.

Here's how to secure your place:

  • Visit the official ticket platform at https://tickets.milanocortina2026.org/en/
  • Register to be part of the draw - in effect, this is a virtual queue
  • Wait for an email confirming your slot to purchase tickets from February - you’ll have approximately 48 hours to then decide whether you want to make a purchase

Supporters who don’t wish to enter the ballot for early access can simply purchase tickets when they go on open sale in April.

Ticket prices will not be published until after this year’s Summer Olympics in Paris.

The above process does not apply for tickets for the Paralympic Games, which will instead be available from March 2025 without the need to register for a ballot.

The 25th edition of the Olympic Winter Games runs from February 6 to 25 2026. Bobsleigh and skeleton are among seven sports are due to make up the schedule, which is yet to be announced.

More information on the ticketing process can be found at tickets.milanocortina2026.org.
