Lake Placid proved a golden hunting ground for Great Britain at the last competition before Christmas as Matt Weston and the 4-man crew claimed race victories in New York State.
Weston became the second British Skeleton slider to take top sot this season after Marcus Wyatt won in Whistler, with victory seeing him become only the second British man after Kristan Bromley to win multiple World Cup golds.
Wyatt just missed another medal in finishing fourth, with Laura Deas and Brogan Crowley ninth and 11th and Brad Hall and Greg Cackett fifth in the 2-man, before the 4-man team ensured 2022 ended on a huge high with a stunning success in the States.
Cackett, Taylor Lawrence and Arran Gulliver helped Hall claim the first World Cup gold of his career as they joined Lamin Deen, Toby Olubi, Ben Simons and Andrew Matthews in achieving the ultimate 4-man World Cup accolade.
