The second of successive race weekends in Altenberg saw Great Britain once again win double gold in Germany in a meet that also acted as the European Championships.
Having triumphed at the same venue the previous week, Matt Weston won his third men's skeleton gold of the season as he became the nation's first male European Champion for 15 years. Marcus Wyatt, Craig Thompson and Brogan Crowley also made the wider podium in the continental champs, making it four Brits in the top five across the men's and women's events at arguably the world's toughest track.
The other stand out result came in the 4-man bobsleigh where, 24 hours after Brad Hall and Taylor Lawrence had finished fourth in the 2-man, Hall, Lawrence, Arran Gulliver and Greg Cackett won an historic gold medal in front a huge German crowd.
No British team had ever been crowned European Champions in any bobsleigh discipline but Hall, Lawrence, Gulliver and Cackett saw off all three German Olympic medalists, including six-time European Champion Francesco Friedrich, to take spot for the second week running.
