Congress to be digital
The International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation have announced that this year’s Congress will take place digitally.
The 91st edition of the annual event will be the first digital-only annual meeting in the almost 100-year history of the federation.
Congress was initially scheduled to take place in Beijing, China - the venue for the next Olympic Winter Games in 2022 - but the ongoing travel restrictions and wider regulations related to the Covid-19 pandemic means the event has now moved online.
IBSF President Ivo Ferriani will lead the video conference, just as he did in person in Prague in the summer of 2019.
The next face-to-face edition of Congress will take place in Jamaica in the summer of 2021.
