Altus Consulting renew partnership
The BBSA are delighted to confirm that Altus Consulting will once again be supporting the British Bobsleigh team as the countdown to the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milan Cortina continues.
Altus Consulting, the leading specialist Financial Services Management Consultancy have extended their commitment to the team to a fifth year, continuing the partnership until at least the end of the new sliding season, which starts on Saturday.
Like the BBSA, Altus are headquartered in Bath, and first linked up with the GB1 men’s crew in 2019. Their initial support came after British Bobsleigh lost UK Sport funding post the PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games in 2018, and Altus have played a role in the squad’s success ever since.
The Altus Consulting logo has been present on the GB1 sled and race suits for more than a dozen World Cup medal winning performances, as well as when the team won the country’s first 4-man World Championship medal since WW2 in 2023, and becoming the nation’s first men’s European Champions in the very same season.
“We’re delighted to have Altus’ support for another season,” said British Bobsleigh’s Programme Manager and the BBSA’s Director of Communications, Marc Heywood.
They’ve been behind the team for almost five years now and they’ve seen the impact their support has had in helping the GB1 men’s crew achieve some incredible results.
“I know that crew members like Brad (Hall) and Greg (Cackett), who have built the relationship over the years, really value the support Altus have provided. We hope that there is a real pride in having their logo visible when the team win medals, particularly as Altus first came on board at what was a pretty uncertain time for the team.
“The crew have built some really strong relationships with the team at Altus and we’re looking forward to that continuing - and growing - this season.”
The new bobsleigh season starts on Saturday and Altus are back on board
The team begin the new season in Altenberg, Germany on Saturday, December 7th with the first of eight World Cup competitions that take place between December and February.
The season then concludes with the World Championships in Lake Placid, USA in March – by which time the next Olympic Winter Games will be less than a year away.
“We are proud to be sponsoring the British Bobsleigh team for a fifth consecutive year as they look to begin the new season this weekend, and have the Milan Cortina Olympics on their horizon," said Martyn Evans, CEO at Altus Consulting.
"We have seen Brad, Greg and the team face a difficult 2023/24 season which was heavily disrupted by injuries, but we are always blown away by their unwavering enthusiasm for their sport, and their resilience, adaptability and determination. These values strongly resonate with us, and we are excited to follow the team through their upcoming campaign and celebrate all their successes.”
